The Kevin Cook Spirit Run is returning to the Orange County Great Park on Saturday, August 18, 2012 at 7:30 a.m. The event was created to honor the memory of Kevin Cook, a special son, brother, teammate and friend, and all proceeds benefit student athletes through scholarships and team grants.
Certified by USA Track & Field, the fast, flat 5K will include chip timing this year, and showcases live bands throughout the course serenading participants every step of the way. Offering something fun 
for everyone, the event also features a high school race and half mile sprint for ages 10 and under. Stick around after the race for a raffle and awards ceremony, and be sure to check out the vendor booths.
